African Beach Calligraphy

PreviousNext

A very interesting idea comes to Andrew van der Merwe from Cape Town, South Africa – calligraphy on the beach.

Unfortunately these beauties are surviving in the wild about an hour before the wind bursts the sand or the sea to wash away the letters. Most of the forms are inspired by the African writing systems.

sometimes it is the short lived beauty that is most inspiring isn't it?

I really like your blog by the way: bilingual, clean and optimistic indeed.Especially the design and the colors.

First post for the new 2021 - the year that we put First post for the new 2021 - the year that we put so much hope in it. 🤍
I usually don’t like new years resolutions, but every year I choose one word that will be significant for me and while the word for the 2020 was education, in 2021 I want to focus more on connection.
For quite amount of time I was always scared to connect with new people - worried about my accent, my writing to not bother people... and this year I want to overcome this fear and sincerely connect with you.
So here I go - I say that loud and now I have to achieve that. :)
And with that being said - what is your word for 2021?
