WHAT’S FOR DINNER, HONEY?
Are you ready for a simple and easy idea for dinner?
As a staying at home housewife (I never thought I’d ever say that :)) sometimes even I prepare dinner for my husband! And because the vegetables here are so delicious comparing with those in Central Europe I very often prepare salad for dinner and with the incredible California Chardonnay it is an amazing combination (yes maybe somebody will say you don’t drink Chardonnay with Salad.. but oh well, I do). The recipe is simple but it is important to have delicious tomatoes. Otherwise it just won’t work.
Here is what you’ll need:
tomatoes – two per person. I use Heirloom Tomatoes
fresh basil – I’m currently in love with that herb
white cheese – could be feta or mozzarella, but my favorite one is the white Bulgarian cheese from cow’s milk
dry toasted pine nuts – I love their taste
few country crackers
Then it is simple – cut and mix everything together. Be careful with the vinegar, because some people don’t like to mix it with tomatoes, because of the sour taste. And voila. You have now easy and healthy dinner.
