ONE APARTMENT – TWO DIFFERENT STYLISTS.

PreviousNext

white_bedroom_tina_hellberg_via_79ideasHave you ever wondered how important is the work of the stylists? We, the decor bloggers, very often mention them, admire them, but how much their work really matters? As a photographer, I have never doubted how important it is to have a good stylist on set. The last few months I often worked with the amazing Si from French by Design and often leaned from her talent and eye for details. Today I have yet another great evidence to prove the importance of the stylist.

Two talented Swedish stylists participated in a very interesting experiment – to change the vision of the same apartment for sale with the idea to see whether their work will directly affect the price of the property. Hans Blomquist creates the dark version, Tina Hellberg relied on a traditional Scandinavian design – white, wood and clean lines. And yes, the experiment proves how important the work of the stylists is and the price of the apartment rised considerably.
Which version you like more – Hans dark or bright Tina?

What a cool experiment! I think both are so lovely- I’m usually drawn to light and bright but the darker more moody one is calling to me today.

This would be fun to do on a smaller scale (not painting and such) to see what stylists could crank out :)

I love the dark design more as I find it toned down and a bit more relaxing. The light coloured design is ‘too bright’ so to speak.

Wow–both look great, but I feel more at home with the darker paint.

Few days ago my favorite film (Fuji 400 H) out of Few days ago my favorite film (Fuji 400 H) out of the blue was discontinued. At first I felt heartbroken - all the countless hours I’ve been spending working on the skin tones, the greens… I named even my dog Fuji. 🐶
Today I have a completely new feelings - the dark mood is replaced with an excitement. Because times changes and we need to adapt to those changes. I’ve always loved the grain of the Kodak Portra and my favorite earth tones looks amazing in it. I guess I’m so ready to start exploring and work even more harder.
The announcement by Fujifilm actually created a really big buzz and all the film photography community meet in the Clubhouse and we discussed the topic till late at night.
I pull out one of my all time favorite image photographed on Fuji 400 H. Swan looks amazing here and thank you @richardphotolab for the beautiful scans.
And now it is time for a hard work and more film. Portra film.
