Christmas Cookies With Coffee And Cinnamon ♥

PreviousNext

Hello,
My Sunday looks like it is going to be very busy but also very excited. I will have a visit from a friend that I haven’t seen from almost 5 years. But I stole some times for 79ideas and I will show you something different now.

This year I’ve decided to keep the tradition and to bake my own Christmas cookies. I am usually not so perspicacious, but this time I’ve decided to be sensible and to try few recipes in advance just to be sure and not have surprises at the last moment.

So here they are my Christmas cookies, Take 1 with coffee and cinnamon. I changed the recipe (which I found here) a little.

Products you will need:

2 / 3 cup honey
1 / 3 cup brown sugar
2 tsp cooking oil
2 tsp espresso coffee / liquid /
1 tsp ground coffee
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1½ cup flour for the dough
1 more cup flour you will need later when rolling the dough because it is very sticky

Mix the honey, the sugar, the oil and the coffee and stir very well, then add the remaining ingredients until you have a soft, sticky dough and put it in the fridge to cool down.

On a baking sheet sprinkled with lots of flour place the dough, roll it and cut your pieces – I chose stars and hearts form.

Bake in preheated oven at 200 degrees for about 9 minutes.

And because it is too early for Christmas cookies you can just invite friends and make a surprise Sunday party without particular reason. Have a great day!

    Hello Radostina:
The cookies look and sound wonderful. Thank you for sharing the recipe. Is the oven temperature 200 degrees F? It sounds low, but of course I've never made these cookies before, so I don't know. ;o) ~Sparky-Jean

Your comments made me really really happy. Thank you.
Just a slight clarification: the baking temperature is 200 degrees Celsius, not Fahrenheit. In Fahrenheit it should be 392 degrees :) Sorry for the misunderstanding.

I wanted to tell you that I made the cookies today to help my housemate celebrate Hanukkah. I made stars and hearts, too. The cookies are delicious—we all loved them. Thank you again for sharing the recipe! I also made a recipe post on my blog today and directed the readers to you. ~Sparky
