Is the popularity of rattan growing?

PreviousNext

I really like the calm mood that this villa has. But I actually chose it because it visualizes a trend that became quite popular nowadays – the rattan. In the form of furniture and accessories, this natural material if you look carefully you’ll find it all over the house. I admit that I have never been big rattan fan, but in this white surrounding it looks gorgeous.

Interesting space. Certain catches the eye, anyway. Thanks for sharing.

I would say definitely! I love rattan, and also use it in home decor quite a lot at the moment.

Wow, I didn't know that here we have so much rattan lovers :) Ok… but can I ask you do you prefer rattan in natural colors or painted?

I was thinking the same thing this past weekend! I hope you don't mind, but I did a round up of wicker/rattan furniture and linked back to your post as well. I love the natural, rustic feel that it brings to the room – the same warmth as a jute rug.

Radostina – I think I prefer a natural rattan, but in the right home, white can be charming as well! What do you think?

    Both :)!

Thanks for inspiration :). Today I finished my newest post, from which there is also a link to your post. You can find it here: http://tarja-snowland.blogspot.fi/2013/08/rottinginkiiltoa-silmissa.html

The text is only in finnish, but it tells about my newest rattan finds and about my interest about rattan.

I'm about to paint my two newest finds; sofa and a chair. Maybe gray…
