BLOGGING EVOLVES, SO DO I
When I first started blogging 5 years ago, I created 79ideas as my own inspirational “folder”. I was so happy to share beautiful styling, creative ideas and stories for talented people. I was amazed that many others shared my passion and became loyal readers of my blog. And I was happy with that for years and years. But then everything changed. In the era of Pinterest, Instagram and Tumblr I think all of us – “the inspirational” bloggers have to adapt to that changing world and redirect our energy. This is normal, right? Nothing stays the same for five years, especially not in the online universe. I think what is more valuable and appreciated nowadays is the original content, sharing your own ideas and your own lifestyle.
A year ago a concept like that would have been a big “no-no” for me. But for few months now I saw that I no longer enjoy the process of just collecting inspirational content created by others. What I plan to do now is I want to talk to you more, to share my latest photography projects, to share my design ideas and even my daily life. The last month I’ve been thinking about that a lot (this explains also the “radio silence” here) and I discussed that with my closest friends and finally feel ready to stop being shy, to talk from my own perspective, to share my own personal experience… or even to show you my face – yes, this is me at home and my Saturday’s coffee.
I’m curious what are your thoughts, do you have a lifestyle blog? Are you afraid to be too personal in your own blog?
