SLOW MORNING

PreviousNext

radostina_slow_morning_02

I used to be that kind of person that when I open my eyes in the morning I literally jump from the bed right away and directly start the stressful day. My friends are always telling me that I should relax and take it easier… but how…what  if I miss something, every the day is so important. With the age I began to understand and value the little things more. I try to wake up in the morning and start the day slowly.

And now when I wake up 15 minutes earlier then I used to… I have little ME time. Talking with friends, drinking my favorite coffee, enjoying the flowers and just being happy that I exist.
Are you a jumping person or you prefer to start the day slowly?

Definitely slow. I like to linger in my pjs, drink a cup of coffee, watch the local news. Unfortunately, I often wake up remembering all the things I don’t have done for that day and end up jumping up and trying to get started quickly. I still have to have my coffee, but everything has to be sped up and not enjoyed as much. I’m trying to get better about having things planned so I don’t wake up in a panic, but it still happens.

Sometimes I feel like I need a gentle reminder to take things more slowly.

I always try to start off with a relaxing morning, but eventually I fall back into old habits and press snooze one too many times.

    Thank you for this!

Definitely slowly! I love being able to wake up early and have the morning silence all to myself while the rest of the house sleeps. Something about a quiet morning to journal, drink coffee, and look at social media makes the day feel calmer.

    Hi Radostina and friends!
I don’t know if one could become into a morning person… Does it have to do with habits or with gens?…. I often wake up on hurry and have my breakfast while driving to work… very sad!! …but on the other hand I enjoy and feel more productive at 7pm than at 7am.. What do you guys think: Should I follow my instinct or try to fit the morning focused standard? Tks

I prefer slow. Sometimes I will honestly set my alarm 15 minutes earlier than I need just so have that extra time to lay in my bed on my phone. It also helps me wake up more!

Whether I like it or not, I am a slow morning person. I usually spend about an hour (really!) drinking coffee and saying my morning prayers to the Lord, watching the news and weather forecast. Then the last 20 minutes I run around the house getting ready for work. I’m always on time. :)
