Dresden ♥ Дрезден
Great impression made on me this city, despite the a bit frightening beginning of our journey, when we saw the whole city literally thronged with police because of an expected Nazi demonstration. And when I say this I mean thousands of policemen and policewomen, not only local but from the nearby cities too as we understood later.
However, as I expected Germany has overcame these times and proof of this were the anti-Nazi posters on the streets and the flags on the balconies.
Moreover, nothing like this suits this gorgeous city, with the beautiful ancient buildings and the polite and smiling locals. There are some signs that remind of the communist times, but they seem outlived.
The cold and windy weather did not allow me to enjoy and look properly all the places of interest but this is a great reason to go there again. I cannot wait for the spring to come.
Прекрасни са моите впечатления от този град. Въпреки стресиращото начало на нашето пътешествие, когато хиляди полицаи патрулираха из целия град заради очаквана нео нацистка демонстрация. И като казвам хиляди полицаи… наистина имам предвид хиляди.
Германия обаче отдавна е надживяла онова време, за това говореха знамената по балконите, изоставените постери по улиците с анти нацистки лозунги.
Студеното и ветровито време не ми позволи да разгледам обстойно всички забележителности, но със сигурност аз ще се върна там. През пролетта.
I went to Dresden last summer with my family. It was so hot, but we enjoyed every minute of Dresden. I´m surprised to hear that there was a Nazi Demonstration. That sound really scary. I hope you are fine.

Нали знаеш, че повечето от бароковите сгради са издигнати наново от руините от комунистите през 80-те години. Само реставрацията на Фрауенкирхе завърши чак преди няколко години.

I was also surprised when we understood about the Nazi demonstration, but everything was well handled by the police and we were OK.
And yes, I agree, even if it is not the most famous tourist attraction I really think that it is a must see place if you got a chance.
Пламен, със сигурност четох за това някъде. А ти, ако си бил там, предполагам си посетил Стъклената Фабрика. Дори на мен, която нямам шофьорска книжка и нищо не разбирам от коли, ми беше доста интересно там – да видиш целия работен процес по изграждането на един автомобил. Не съм предполагала. Горещо препоръчвам :))))
