NINE IDEAS HOW TO STAY CREATIVE

PreviousNext

Nine_different_ways_to_stay_creative

I guess that when you are coming here you are probably a creative person, curious and constantly looking for inspiration.
Creativity actually is a very interesting thing. It is like a small little plant that you need to take care of, it has to be fed constantly. There are many ways to keep yourself creative. Some of the advices that I know from my own experiences are:

  1. keep your creative space in order
  2. take a class or workshop
  3. create inspirational boards
  4. break your routine
  5. keep a journal and use it all the time to collect ideas
  6. don’t be afraid to experiment
  7. surround yourself with creative people
  8. move your body
  9. travel

79ideas_project_2015

But there is one thing that I found much more helpful – to turn from dreamer to doer. To choose a project and just do it. No matter if everything is perfect or not – just act. I admit that sometimes I was loosing my creative mojo. The everyday life it just squeeze it  and I had to do something. At the beginning of the year I started a small project – to take photos constantly. Amongst the Flickr community this project is popular as “Project 365”. I change the name to Project 2015 because I wanted to be something different (I didn’t plan to do a picture every day and I wanted to continue the project the next year too). And just a miracle happened.

I became more serious, organized … I became a doer. The results are so far wonderful for me. I don’t feel rush, pressure and I want to do more and more pictures.
I hope I helped you with my experience, but what is your recipe for keeping the creativity in your life?

I know it’s hard to stay creative (especially when you have a full-time job). That’s why I started my blog to have a motivator as well as an archive of what I have done. Thanks for all the tips! I really want to go to a workshop soon x

Hello Radostina! This is kind of off topic but I need some help from
an established blog. Is it hard to set up your own blog?
I’m not very techincal but I can figure things
out pretty fast. I’m thinking about setting up my own but I’m not sure where
to start. Do you have any points or suggestions? Thank you

Hi and thanks for asking. The first thing you need to do is to select a blog platform that could work for you. You can check: Tumblr – easy to handle / if you plan to post more pictures /, WordPress – is more complicated but is the platform that I’m currently using. I have bad experience with Blogger – so I would not recommend it to you. I hope this helps.
      Good luck :) !

to NOT WORRY when creativeness isn’t oozing out! to take that as a sign to just go with it, perusing other artwork and doing other things…it ALWAYS COMES back, and usually in more outstanding revelations! GREAT TIPS from you, thanks!

#8 is my favorite. The more I move my body, whether it’s working out and blowing off steam or taking a walk in Venice, getting my blood flowing quicker is a great way to clear my mind and let the creative juices flow.

Very useful ideas to boost creativity. I have plenty of ideas in my mind, which I usually mark down in a form of notes (usually in my phone), but maybe I have to use an ispirational board.

First post for the new 2021 - the year that we put First post for the new 2021 - the year that we put so much hope in it. 🤍
I usually don’t like new years resolutions, but every year I choose one word that will be significant for me and while the word for the 2020 was education, in 2021 I want to focus more on connection.
For quite amount of time I was always scared to connect with new people - worried about my accent, my writing to not bother people... and this year I want to overcome this fear and sincerely connect with you.
So here I go - I say that loud and now I have to achieve that. :)
And with that being said - what is your word for 2021?
