WABI-SABI

PreviousNext

Wabi-sabi represents a comprehensive Japanese world view or aesthetic centered on the acceptance of transience. Characteristics of the wabi-sabi aesthetic include asymmetry, asperity, simplicity, modesty, intimacy, and the suggestion of natural processes.

About the interior this style is marked by the simple furnishing, physically old furniture – they could be new but they look like old, ancient objects, that have sentimental or historical value for you, nostalgic, natural materials as wood, stone, plastic or chrome. Simple and clear colors, take from the palette of the nature.
I can’t really decide if I particularly like this style. Today I like a certain style – tomorrow I don’t. I think that I like it when I am sad or nostalgic.

Today I like Wabi-sabi.

Wabi-sabi.
