The Home of the Decorator in South France ♥

PreviousNext

There are people, who knew very well even since childhood what they want to be when they grow up and they work all their life, to achieve this goal and make their dream come true. I’m sure that there are really many people like this, but today I will focus on a particular one – the interior stylist and decorator Aurélien Deleuze. And If I want to be completely clear – I will not speak about him I will speak about his home, located in South France. A really old house, part of which was built in the beginning of the 1700s.

The house was renovated carefully – take a look on the floors, the walls and the textile everywhere. And furthermore – there are 14 rooms where Aurélien Deleuze arranged his treasures, those that he found in the flea markets and antic shops. His passion for that comes from his teenage years and it is not a surprise that we see him now as an owner of such an impressive home and also owner of styling agency.

The whole house is a combination of different parts of France and different ages. I was really impressed by the music room from the beginning of the 18century, with note sheets instead of wallpapers. I think that this is a very original idea. Also the kitchen has an old fireplace, gorgeous rustic table and two long wooden benches.
Some of you probably will say that this house looks more like a museum, instead of home, but I think that we have to admire Aurélien Deleuze because he has created a really original, impressive and even a bit magical place.
