Simple Food: Homemade Potato Chips ♥ Лесна храна: Домашно приготвен картофен чипс

Today I’ll show you an alternative of the otherwise unhealthy potato chips. I admit that although I try to eat healthy food I sometimes have my moments when I have a bite of chocolate or some junk food. If you too think of some chips from time to time, instead of buying it I suggest why not making your own. That way you will definitely know what you’re putting in your mouth. Furthermore my version is even healthier because it is not fried but baked.

You will need:
Few big potatoes – the bigger the better.
Olive oil 
Salt to taste

Preparation:
Cut the potatoes by the long side into slices about 4-5 millimeters thin. Put them in a baking tin and spray some olive oil on them. Bake for about 10 minutes in a preheated oven at 200˚C (~400˚F). After this turn around each piece and bake for 10 more minutes. Turn them around one last time, bake for 5-6 minutes more and your chips should be ready. I recommend eating it while it is warm with some bio ketchup or your favorite sauce. Very common is the avocado dip, but I personally don’t like its taste. Bon appetite!

Днес ще ви покажа една малка алтернатива на така нездравословния чипс. Признавам си, че въпреки че се старая да се храня здравословно… понякога и аз извършвам малки престъпления с много шоколад и посягане към нездравословна храна. Ако и на вас понякога ви се хапва чипс, вместо да купувате ви предлагам да си направите сами. Така със сигурност ще знаете какво слагате в устата си, пък и моя вариант е малко по-здравословен, защото хрупките резенчета картоф не се пържат, а пекат.

Продукти:
няколко големи картофа – колкото по-големи, толкова по-добре :)
зехтин 
сол на вкус

Приготвяне: разрежете картофите на ивички по дължина. Приблизителната широчина на резенчето – 4-5 мм. Наредете резенчетата в тава и ги намажете с мъничко зехтин от двете страни. Печете за 10 минути във фурна, която е предварително загрята на 200 градуса. След това обърнете всяко парченце картоф – ето защо е по-добре да са ви големи картофките, и печете за още 10 минутки. Обърнете пак и след около 5-6 минутки би трябвало вашият чипс да е готов. Препоръчвам ви да го хапнете с био кетчуп или някакъв сос. Много разпространен е авокадовия дип в случая, но аз няма да ви го препоръчам, просто защото на мен не ми допада на вкус. Bon appetite!

    Mmmmh. What a pity I do not have any fresh potatoes at home – I'd try it instantly!
    You can try this with sweet potato, carrots or beetrot, too…
