Simply Afghanistan ♥

PreviousNext

I read a book today. Actually it was a very sad book about the life in Afghanistan. It is called  “A Thousand Splendid Suns” by Khaled Hosseini and it is about the suffering of the ordinary people in the small ordinary country while the big one is playing war, peace and democracy games.

But this blog is not about the ugly part of life, it is about the things that bring colors in our life and inspire us. Like the photo session by the great photographer Francine Zaslow, whose work I have mentioned before too. I just remembered it immediately when I turned the last page of the book. This photo session is called “Afghani”.

“A Thousand Splednid Suns” by Khaled Hosseini.

Centuries of history and culture all being squandered over (petty?) differences….I wish more people would spend their energies creating beauty rather than destroying things. Here's hoping for peace.

    These photographs are lovely.

Great post, Radostina. I believe Afghanistan deserves far more respect to its culture history than we get from the news coverage! Btw – love your blog!
