WINTER COOKIES

PreviousNext
I just can’t explain to you how excited I am these days. And there’s no particular reason for – it is because of the season, the smiling people outside and the smell of orange and hot cocoa in the air. I think that to all these fragrances you can add easy and without much effort a smell of fresh baked cookies.

All you have to do is to mix all ingredients in a big cup and to stir it until you have a thick squash. Then roll it out until it is approximately 3 mm thick and cut pieces of it with different forms for cookies. I bought my very special forms from “Tchibo” and they are very interesting because you can put your cookie directly on the cup. I think you can achieve the same result even with a simple knife and a little bit of cutting.
Bake your cookies for 10 minutes on 180°C (about 400° F). While they are still hot sprinkle icing sugar. Bon appetite. :)

I saw these cookie cutters in Tchibo last week and I loved the idea. Still I think that I will try to cut it with a knife. Or maybe I will go back and buy them :) Love your pictures and I think I will try the recipe :)

Cute!! As we head into summer in New Zealand, I envy you the match of spices and hot drinks with a winter Christmas. I like the wrapping with the pine cone and twine.
