Easter Celebration / non-contact inspirational photoshoot

PreviousNext

A long long time ago Dostoevsky wrote something that I truly believe in (the line comes from Dostoevsky’s novel, The Idiot):

“The Beauty will save the world”.

Approaching a family holiday like Easter in these unusual times, I wanted to make something special for you. I fully understand that wedding photography is a business, but at the same time, it is a creative one. It is a form of art and beauty and I feel it is my duty to inspire you, to make everything in my power to keep your spirit positive and in these dark times I wanted to show you that there is always a light and sun. I don’t have a medical education, I can neither sew, nor am I a good cook to make cookies for everyone – I can only create and photograph the beauty and this is my superpower. This is my way to help.

With this idea in mind, I and two of my favorite friends from the wedding industry collaborated in a very unique photoshoot that we called a no-contact photoshoot (safety first!), because our physical connection with each other during the preparation, photographing and styling was only online. We face-timed, we used Skype to create this amazingly beautiful Easter table.

I really hope we would be able to bring a little light and sunshine for you today. My amazing team included:

Christina from Bellevue Floral and co used for this table only flowers who were available in the grocery stores right now and Jeanette choose the colors and the textures for all that. But like every other photoshoot, all the participants take an important role and I’m so thankful for that.

Дървени яйчица: Sweetness and Light

And I just made my very modest and shy debut in front of the camera on Instagram (check it out here). It was a nervous experience for me, but you know what – it is ok. One day I will overcome my fear to stay and talk in front of the camera and the only way I can do that is to face my fear.

Happy Easter everyone. Stay safe!

Hello! Love your ideas! Just wondering where I might buy the table you have photographed? Many thanks. A. Bigelow
