Yellow Sunday // Жълта неделя

PreviousNext

I wanted so much to show you today the beautiful Prague covered with snow, but I didn’t have a chance. The snow just didn’t come. So I don’t have snow pictures, but I can show you my interesting flower which I found in the local flower shop. I don’t know their name, but they are so lovely and fluffy.
And later I will have a special surprise for you. So stay tuned.

There are a lot of those flowers, here in Portugal! We call tem Mimosas and they grow up on big teres branches. They are absolutely amazing when all the landscape turns yellow!
Maybe you would like we follow each other.
I hope you come to visit me. Let me know your decision, dear!
    Xoxo

In Switzreland they are also called Mimosa. In my home town (Basel) they are the typical flowers during carnival season (now).

    Also called Mimosa in France…

They are from a tree that can grow very big, please see an example here : http://9a.img.v4.skyrock.net/0970/63330970/pics/3062698517_1_5_81e4rzBl.jpg

In the States it is called Acacia. When I lived in LA there was a large tree in the next yard that was HUGE, and when it bloomed the frangrance was amazing…delicate.

Oh, Nina thank you for your comment :) I'm pretty sure that your Portugal is really beautiful and charming even without mimosa's flowers :)

It is in bloom here in California right now, the air is fragrant with it. I call it wattle, like a good Australian!
